TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the challenges faced by Thai applicants for the USA B1/B2 visa, especially regarding approval rates and the interview process. Many commenters report difficulties in securing approval, stressing that the interviewers often assume Thai applicants will not return to Thailand and require convincing evidence of ties to their home country. Suggestions include providing financial evidence, letters from family, and demonstrating ongoing connections to Thailand. The discussion reflects a general sentiment of frustration and uncertainty surrounding the visa application process.

When applying the applicant must show a reason they will return. Lots of ways that can be done but the Interviewer needs to believe it. My wife used the family business and a letter from her mother stating the business would fail without her property. and I threw in proof of how long I had been consecutively overseas at that point wrll ovet 25 years to make sure they understood our home was Thailand.
Wife says all they took from her documents was her Mothers Letter and she was In and Out in 5 minutes.
She was also joint for a few years on my Thai and US Bank Accounts with a travel record around Asia.

I stopped trying after the second rejection with no clear explanation as to why! ๐
If you are from the US, your odds of her getting approved are slim to none.

US embassy interviewers will assume every Thai applicants will visit the US and will not return to Thailand, so it's the applicants' hard work to prove otherwise.
