Answer summary

If you're attending a DTV visa interview in Kuala Lumpur, be prepared for an in-person interview at the embassy. Bring all your submitted documents and be ready to answer questions about your job, plans in Thailand, and financial stability, including demonstrating a bank balance of at least 500,000 THB. The purpose of the interview is to confirm your eligibility and ensure there are no illegal activities involved.

The interview is at the embassy. They just want to go through the documents with you and ask a few questions. I've been asked why am i applying, how long i planned on staying there, how will i support myself and they went through my bank statements to look at my income and transactions.

I just assume its to weed out any illegal activities and check your character

Not for DTV but I have taken an interview in KL. They want to make sure that you are not a broke person or just obtained some paper to show that you are eligible.

For example : Do you really have a job or just showed some paper.

I got the visa after the interview in 2 min.

That’s all.

It will be in person. You bring all your documents (and anything else that might be useful) with you.

You attend in person for the interview, bring all the docs you submitted. They will ask most likely questions relating to your job, reasons for applying, etc. Make sure you can show the balance of your account 500k THB on your phone.

Anonymous participant Having an interview is a significant step for approval. it is your preference to print or keep docs in PDF form. i add an interview in Taipei it was simple. You should check the threads about interviews in Malaysia. You will be fine, just relax and answer questions directly.
