[Interview Nonthaburi Immigration]

Good morning. I have an interview tomorrow morning, so I'm told, at Nonthaburi (think it's the immigration office) for my work permit. I thought it can't harm to ask what does the process basically involve, now I have obtained my Non B?

Forearmed is forewarned and all that, but hopefully it will be a seamless process and in and out in a short time. The other reason I ask is the school manager's English is basic communication and last night we had a 15 minute conversation until I finally realised I needed four 4 x 3cm photos. So it's easier for me to pick the experts brains on here....

Many thanks....

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing for a work permit interview at the Nonthaburi Immigration office after obtaining a Non B visa. They seek insights on the process, especially since their school manager's English is limited. Community members share their experiences, indicating that if the paperwork is in order, the interview may be brief or even unnecessary as the primary requirement is to submit documents, particularly at the Ministry of Labour. It is advised to arrive early due to potential crowding, and confirmation that the meeting is likely for the work permit, not at immigration.

Yes have been to Nonthaburi office many times. Best is either first thing at 9 or at 1pm when they reopen after lunch

I've been through this process a few times times now and in my experience, both at Immigration and the Ministry of Labour, although your presence is required your voice is not. Assuming your paperwork is in order, beyond saying hello, thank you, and goodbye that should be all - I cant recall being asked a single question by the Officer at either place on any occasion.

Yes I'd definitely say you are going to the Ministry Of Labor for your Work Permit. If everything is in order then you shouldn't be there too long. Nonthaburi Immigration isn't too bad either but get there early if actually do have to go there. I do my 90 day report there. It's a small office and can become very overcrowded and you could end up waiting all day for something that should only take a few minutes due to the queues.

In and out of Nonthaburi Labour Office (or whatever you call it) in 30 minutes today - only problem wrong dates on some of the paperwork apparently, which is not the biggest surprise. Apparently would have had to go back to collect my passport with the stamp in it next week anyway - if that's correct.....😂

Thanks. Unfortunately I'm at the mercy of the school manager (nice as she is) and she wants me to meet her at 10am so hopefully we won't be waiting all day. It would be almost impossible for me to make her understand your point about queues .....:)

Never heard of such a thing. I also never have personally showed face in any office for my wp. My staff just pushes the paperwork and gets the stamps.

If it's a WP, you'll be at the Ministry of Labour office, not immi. There has been no interview that I have ever experienced. You just submit paperwork and if everything is kosher, you get your WP.

Thanks it probably is the Ministry of Labour - I may have got that wrong. Everything should be in order, my degree has been certified by the British Embassy (had to do that for another job) etc.

Do I understand correctly that you already have a Non B Visa in your passport but still waiting for your Work Permit. If yes than the interview is just the application of the work permit at Ministry of Labor. They could have some questions about the papers.
