My girlfriend and I got our DTV visas in Phnom Penh, we are really happy. One of my employees, who comes from the Philippines, also got his visa in Manila. We are so happy!

Best regards

Hi, can I assume your employee who got the DTV from Manila is a Filipino? Has he flown to Thailand yet, would like to ask if he was asked for an OEC before leaving by Immigration.

Same question for your girlfriend. Thanks.

If you need special help, please comment with “help” and I will write to you as soon as I have time. I don't have the time to answer all questions in detail. Otherwise I would be sitting here from morning till night answering questions. I actually wanted to show with my post that it is possible to get the DTV visa in Phnom Penh, also in Manila, and friends of mine report that they have done it in Laos.

Why should I fly my Filipino employee to Phnom Penh to apply for a visa there? It doesn't make sense, does it?

Anonymous participant No, that's why I was guessing they were not allowed to apply in PP. But, it seems strange they accept some foreign, non-resident applicants but not Filipinos...

I am looking for an option for my Filipina partner because she doesn't have the 3 months @ 500k+ bank statements Manila is asking for.

500k is what every message demands. The only question is whether they have to be on the account for 3 or 6 months. You need help like we have, then it will be a success.

I contacted the Embassy in Manila. You need to be a citizen or legal resident of the Philippines to apply in Manila.

Hi Daniel, as I understand that there is not any chance to apply with "walk in" to Royal Thai embassy Manila if you are not citizen of Philippines or maybe you did asked about E-visas?

I have heard nothing about the Manila embassy going to eVisa. Honestly, they have never been helpful to non-residents on my experience.

I checked this information with the Thai embassy in Manila. Everything is fine, they accept documents from non-residents. Please do not mislead people.

Still true? I have emailed them twice but I'm not receiving an answer. Did you have success obtaining DTV from Manila even though you're not a resident there?

Yes, everything is the same, many non-residents have received visas there. But keep in mind that the consulate in Manila may switch to E-visas. In this case, you will need to clarify this issue directly again.

Was there any tricky parts with the application thru Phnom Penh (other than the 5 days processing) ? Did you have to show proof of funds for 6 months, 3 months or just the day you apply?

It took 14 days because I had to submit a few more letters because I am not married to my wife (girlfriend), and I had to make a declaration that I was liable for her. Phnom Penh is very particular about the documents.
