What are the current visa rules for South African passport holders traveling to Thailand for vacation?
Received this from a friend.
Answer summary
The conversation discusses the visa situation for travelers, particularly focusing on South African passport holders. It mentions that South Africans can enter Thailand on a 30-day visa exempt entry or obtain tourist visas at consulates outside Malaysia. There's also a note about issues concerning renewals after the initial month.

That is ONLY for South African passport holders who want to get a visa from the thai consulate in Penang. It has nothing to do with S/A passport holder's ability to enter the country on 30 day visa exempt entries OR get tourist visas at any other thai consulates (outside of Malaysia).

Even if you would like to go on vacation? And if you are working through a travel agency? I thought you get your visa in Thailand once you arrive
