What should I do if my one-year visa extension is not showing up in the immigration system in Thailand?

Hi can anyone help me with this one. We got our one year visa exension in October at Phuket no problem. We then moved to Prachaup. When we went to get our 90 day reporting they said there was no information on the computer that we had had a one year extension. All the evidence is on the passports but not in the computer. They gave us a 90 day report, but said we might have problems if we leave the country as nothing on the computer?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster has a one-year visa extension obtained in Phuket, but upon moving to Prachaup, the local immigration office could not find any record of the extension in their system. They were issued a 90-day report but were advised to return to Phuket for verification. Commenters suggest that the only way to resolve the issue is to go back to the Phuket immigration office where the extension was granted and ensure that the information is properly entered into the system. They point out that the decentralized nature of Thailand's immigration offices could be complicating the situation, and it is crucial to have clear records to avoid future problems.

Time to close it down, before we get a discussion about states, provinces and multiple layers of orders.

Please

I had a similar problem in 2019 with the new Phayao immigration office, they could not see my TM6 reference on the computer. I went to Chiang Rai airport immigration and they said everything was fine. Went back to Phayao and everything was magically fine there as well.

It is collectively the job of the immigration police to keep the database up to date. Keep pushing and mistakes will be corrected, not that anyone make mistakes.

If you renew your 1 year visa in Phuket then you moved to others province you have to go to immigration to do TM30 and use local addresses at local immigration that you moved first or you can do 90 day report online.

To solve this issue:

Go back to Prachuap Immigration Office, get clear what the problem is.

If you not understand his English, bring somebody who you understand and can speak Thai. Alternative call the Immigration Office in Phuket to translate for you.

Get a solution for the problem if after discussion with the office in Prachuap is it only can be done in Phuket, there is time enough to make the trip to Phuket.

I guess you did see a different program, guess about the address registration and not the database for the Extension of Stay, because without an official stay you would not get a 90 day report. The officer fixed the problem to add your address and made the report but as you mention this got lost in translations. Before you travel, go back and ask what the real problem is and do not leave before you understand.

I don't think there would be much you can do about this. Apparently, your 'current' local immigration office says there might be a problem.

You may or may not be into a problem when you leave and return to Thailand. You may or may not be in trouble when you apply for the next (any type of) extension or do whatever you need to do at the immigration office other than a 90days report.

All "may or may not".

I guess it would be your decision to go all the way back to where it happened and see what they can do to solve this, or save your travel to Phuket and wait and see whatever happens to you next.

I don't think any other immigration office other than Phuket can do anything since your stamp was issued at the Phuket office. Even it's in the system.

All you can do is go to the office where your stamp was issued and ask.

@Richard **********
Go back to the office and ask to get the problem solved. If he does not speak enough English, ask for his manager or let him call his head quarters.

He showed us the computer and siad it id not there

@Richard **********
And his suggestion to fix this problem was for sure not walk out of this office and go on Facebook

How do you know your Extension of STay is not in the database? after all the officer gave you the 90 day report and did nothing else
Robert *******
So the Phuket Immigration Office stamped a 1 year Extension of Stay in your passport, "forgot" to enter the data in the computer. On a new visit they saw the mistake and told you you might have a problem. Nobody asked or did anything to solve this mistake?

Different office

@Lloyd *******
even in a differerent office, sent away being told you have problem. I want it solved
Brandon ************
@Robert ******
that's like telling one state to fix another state's mistake. Immigration is decentralized and they can't mess with things from other offices.
Robert *******
@Brandon ***********
Thailand does not have independent states, it is one unite country.

@Robert ******
I didn't say it had independent states. But the decentralized way that immigration functions is similar to separate states and one office can't touch the paperwork of another office.

I messaged the poster about it. He does have a valid one year extension of stay based on retirement stamp issued from Phuket, and an agent was *NOT* involved.

My advice would be to return to Phuket and ask them to confirm the stamp and the information was entered into the system correctly. But I'm not sure if other people have any other ideas.
