I am an US citizen living in Chicago. I plan to stay in Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa with a 30 day extension. After that I plan to spend time in the Philippines for around 30 days, then return to Thailand. I would like to know what Visa options I can get from the Thai Consulate in Manila? I would like to get another Visa while I am still in Southeast Asia (SEA) instead of returning to the States. Thailand has recently offered a 6 month Multi entry visa, but one of the requirements is that visitors have USD7000 in a bank account, which I don't have because I am a retiree on fixed income. Expenses should not be a big deal once I am in (SEA) as I can draw from that expense. I will have a small amount for emergencies, but not the USD7000 requested by Thai officials.
