Hi everyone!

I’m preparing my DTV application through the Thai Embassy in Rome (E-Visa) and would love some feedback on my financial documentation strategy. I’m applying under the Soft Power category (Thai Culinary Arts/Cooking Classes).

I have well over the 500k THB requirement in my personal Bank account, but my funds were recently moved from a Time Deposit (within the same bank) back to my Savings Account and finally to my Current Account to show the total balance for the application. Has anyone recently applied at the Rome Embassy? How strict are they currently with the "3-month history" if the money was internally moved between accounts (but stayed within the same bank)?

I’m applying as Unemployed since the Soft Power category doesn't strictly require current employment proof, unlike the Workcation route. Did you face any issues applying as "unemployed" as long as the 500k THB was present? Could the embassy deny the application without proofs of a stable income?

Thanks in advance for any tips or recent experiences!

DTV Soft Power approved – Hanoi // 9 business days 😊

-Online application submitted: 30 November

-Request for additional documents: 03 December

-DTV approved: 11 December

Applied under the Soft Power category: Thai cooking course with House of Taste (Thai cooking class) in Bangkok.

French passport holder, with only two tourist stamps this year.

I didn’t go through an agent

For each document, I prepared a table of contents and organized everything neatly in the correct order.

Doc 1 : Financial Evidence

* Letter from my bank confirming 500,000 (balance)

* My last 3 bank statements (the last one show the 500k baht)

* Currency Conversion

* Sponsorship letter + sponsor’s passport + photos of us together (it's my boyfriend)

* Sponsor’s last 3 bank statements

I added a sponsor because I didn’t have the 500k for the last three months—only in the most recent month. I don’t know if it helped, but in any case, I didn’t get refused.

Doc 2 : Confirmation of participation (Soft Power – Thai Culinary Arts)

* My motivation Letter

* School Acceptance Letter / Confirmation of Enrollment

* Official document from the culinary school confirming my acceptance and the program schedule.

* School license, tax registration, business certificate of the institution’s legitimacy.

* Invoice demonstrating payment for the Thai culinary course.

Doc 3 : Proof of Current Location

* Copy of my entry stamp, copy of my boarding pass

* Flight Booking and Payment Receipt

* Accommodation Booking Confirmation

* Proof of hotel reservation (Booking.com reservation)

Request for additional documents: All the stamped pages of my passport.

I hope this can help someone with their DTV application — it’s very simple and easy to do on your own.
