ORIGINAL POSTERSo my Vietnamese wife and I stayed the better part of 4 months last year, broken up by a 3 day trip to Phom Pehn so as not to overstay 60 days.
This year, I encountered no problems entering again on a normal 60 day visa (US passport). However, my wife, traveling separately from HCMC, was detained and questioned, resulting in them making her sign a statement agreeing to leave after 3 weeks. Yet they still stamped her passport 60 days.
Something about if she wants to stay longer, then apply for a visa.
As far as I can tell, we have done nothing wrong. I want to stay 60 days, but she is terrified of issues if she doesnt depart as agreed.
What do you make of this ? She is afraid of blacklisting.
