What exactly is being checked when a marriage extension application is sent to Bangkok for consideration?

Hi, just a quick note for everyone who is on a NON O married visa. I went to immigration office in Samut Sakhon yesterday and they required me to obtain 4 months of Bank Statements to show 400,000 baht in the account and I had to have 40,000 baht a month also deposited into my account. I know that the requirements state either 400,000 baht or 40,000 baht deposited into your account but they insisted on this before they would submit it for my 12 monthly stamp in a month. They also made an appointment to check out our home and take more pictures. Does anyone know why they are doing this to people now.. Fortunately I deposited my 40 +K every month and always maintained my bank balance. Have the rules changed? Have a great day.

Hi. I plan to go to immigration to get my Non-O extension based on Thai wife. I want to know if I am allowed to leave Thailand during the time period in which my non-o visa extension is under consideration (i.e. between the immigration appointment and the new extension stamp)?

I just did my extension based on marriage. It is under consideration. They gave me a date to come back for the final stamp . Problem is I will be in a different Province until 4 days after the date . Has anyone had any experience with this type of issue ?

Went to CW today get an extension, Thai Wife from my 90 day Non O Thai wife . I got it but they also said I have to come back in a month. I was a little surprised by that and also the need to also have bank book updated on that day. I was thinking I’d get the extension and then be all set for a year.

Is it standard practice to have to return after a month? I suppose that also means you have to have 400k in a thai bank for at least 3 months.

How Long does immigration take to process the 1 year visa extension base on marriage.

I submitted all the forms & they gave me 30 days consideration stamps.

They informed me that they will be coming to my rent house for interview and prepare 3 witnesses...

Usually before they come will they inform you via phone or come with surprise? As I stay at village. Neighbours usually go farms in the morning till evening..

& how Long does it take to know the result?

Wife need to be around when immigration come? As my wife will be in school teaching student.
