I'm just back from chaenwattana with an under consideration stamp (Thai wife).
Will immigration actually come to my house to check?
Will they really ask my neighbors?
Anybody out there that has done this on Cheangwattana that can share the experience?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question asks whether Thai immigration will conduct a home visit to check on an individual's 'under consideration' status, particularly after visiting the Cheangwattana immigration office with a Thai spouse. Responses indicate that while immigration could visit, it's uncertain if they will. If they do decide to visit, they usually call in advance to inform the individual about the requirements. Experiences shared reflect that personal documentation and the presence of a spouse during such visits may be necessary.
1. Thai immigration CAN visit your house or apartment if they want. That doesn't mean they WILL, but they might.
2. If they visit, they will give you a call ahead of time and tell you what they expect.
3. The advice in this post is for BANGKOK only. Other immigration offices have their own policies.

They came to me in downtown BK, wanted a copy of my lease, required my spouse to be there & took pics inside my condo. Required me to have an acquaintance there too that could vouch for me and took down his id & info.
