Hi. I plan to go to immigration to get my Non-O extension based on Thai wife. I want to know if I am allowed to leave Thailand during the time period in which my non-o visa extension is under consideration (i.e. between the immigration appointment and the new extension stamp)?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You are allowed to leave Thailand while your Non-O extension based on your Thai wife is under consideration. However, you should confirm with immigration if a home visit is planned during this period. Additionally, you need to purchase a re-entry permit, which will be valid only for the duration until your new extension stamp is approved.

you can but you would need to coordinate with them if they're going to do a home visit during that under consideration period <-ASK them when you apply for your extension

AND

You would have to buy a re-entry permit (which will be valid only for that under consideration stamp)
