TLDR : Answer Summary
The immigration police's visit for your second year extension after applying for a marriage-based visa may vary. Generally, it is at the discretion of the local immigration office. Some individuals report regular visits while others have never experienced one. Recent experiences indicate that due to COVID-19, visits have been reduced, with some offices opting to call applicants to the office instead.
actually they still may, kind of. They came for my visit less than 1 month ago. They did not want to come and see the room though. They setup in the condo lobby and had us come down and also still wanted to talk to someone else who could confirm our relationship.

how long do you have to wait?

They don't visit at the moment, they just pass your house and call you in if they want to. But usually they tell it when they give the consideration stamp
if they don't contact you before your under consideration stamp runs out just go back to the office to get your year extension inked in on the date in your passport

Totally at the discretion of the immigration office. I know people who get a visit every year, year in year out and I know people who have never ever even gotten a single visit (not even on their first yearly extension based on marriage)
I'd certainly plan on them comin' to see you during the 30 day under consideration stamp ;)
