Hi all. In the middle of applying for a 90 day non o visa based on marriage. Need to go back to immigration on May 9th to collect visa. I have been advised someone from immigration will come round our home to verify it is ours. Any experience of this? Will the visit be before May 9th or after?

My experience is they call, take a photo of you and your spouse in front of your place, and then leave. No more home entry due to covid. The whole experience was around 10 minutes.

Just did mine yesterday on Samuie.

They said this year they will visit again, last year not due to the flue.

No worries they been visiting us several times, just a quick talk, a look around and a few pic.

Some offices DO have a home visit and some don't, They'll call you ahead of time and set it up. If they're gonna do it they'll do it before your report back date (when you go back with the passport to get the Non-O and new 90 day stamp inked in)

It's totally up to the immigration office, they just usually take a few pictures, talk to you briefly and leave.

they might not even DO a home visit and I'm pretty sure they aren't working the Songkran holiday either ๐Ÿ˜› Just wait to be contacted and if nothing by the date you go get the visa inked in just go get it anyway ๐Ÿ™‚
