Hi everyone! I arrived in Chiang Mai last night from Manila. It was my third entry on remote worker DTV, but my first in Chiang Mai. As with the previous two times, everything went smoothly: no questions, fingerprints, and it was all done in 30 seconds. I had read about some complicated experiences in Chiang Mai before, but I can't confirm any of that from my own experience. Don't worry!

What did give me a headache, however, was check-in in the Philippines / Boracay. The airline (Cebu Pacific) was still very inexperienced with DTV and treated me like a typical tourist. I was asked about my professional background, and they demanded proof of accommodation and a return ticket. I had all the application documents with me, and my rental agreement matched with the TDAC. But it took quite a bit of discussion before I was finally allowed to begin my journey, even without a return ticket. So if you fly-in from Philippines - be aware: some unwanted questions could show up😉
