Hello, i couldn't find the official list of the criteria for Tourist Visa Exemption. Have relatives with german passports without facebook and would like to provide the info to them.

I know some but not exactly sure or if they are up to date.

1. Proof outbound flight within 30 day

2. 10,000THB (or 20,000THB?) or other currency cash per person.

3. Proof of accommodation

- can they use my own valid adress here in TH even it's not an hotel?

Thanks very much

Not sure haven't been there for many years. Do you absolutely need USD for the Lao visa at Chiang Khong? Border bounce only!

Thanks 🙏

Working toward a 60 day trip in July.

Do I have to carry in 20,000 baht or will the equivalent in AUD qualify?

I have a Thai bank account but I left my book over there.

Advice for those presenting bills/notes to Thai Consulates and Laos Immigration abroad in Vientiane and Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) for payment of visas: make sure your $USD are crisp and clean. I've had both experiences from Laos (Friendship Bridge in Laos) and the Thai Consulate in Saigon (HCM City) who wanted crisp and clean (no cuts or rips ) on the $USD currency.

I am not certain this is the correct place to ask this question but here it goes.

I have heard that Thai immigration is asking that you have 20K THB in hand when you fly in to Thailand.,

I have visited a few times before and have never been asked, I visit once a year and not more than 25 days.

Thanks for your responses and sorry if this is not the place for this question.

Jen Jen posted in another thread

we are looking to leave NZ for around 12months, traveling on our savings. probably spend most of our time in Thailand then maybe spend the last few months in laos or vietnam or something like that.... completley unsure atm, depends on how long we can stay in Thailand as to how we spend our money lol :)

I had read about the 20000bht - each time we bounce does that mean we need to have 20,000baht each (2adults,3children) - or is there a family rate? - and does that apply each time we bounce wihtin the metv 6month period, or only afterwards?

Questions about visa exempt entry regarding 20K BHT.

I searched the group and couldn't find the answer so I wanted to double check.

1) Do any currencies count? For example we have left over Sri Lankan rupees. Since it's a closed currency, we cannot exchange it while here in India, but didn't know if that would count. The rest we would have to withdraw here in India. So it would be Indian rupees. Do we need to exchange that to USD or BHT?

2) My partner and I are both US citizens and not married. Do we each need 20k, or 20k between us is ok?

This is my first time to Thailand and my partner was there once before in 1992.

Please let me know if you need any more clarification on what I'm requesting. Thank you in advance for your help.

As Canadian arriving from Cambodia at the land crossing (Charat, Buachet District, Surin 32230, Thailand) I'm required to have 10,000 baht, (I understand they may require 20,000, at the officers discretion) any idea's if it is possible to withdraw baht from an ATM/cash point, in Cambodia, Siem Reap? Or can I have a combination of USD's and baht? I hear there are casinos at this border in Cambodia so I may be able to buy baht there, as Thai's are crossing the border to gamble? I'm just not in the habit of carry that much baht as I'm traveling overland via Vietnam & Cambodia. Ideas? Thanks
