Working toward a 60 day trip in July.

Do I have to carry in 20,000 baht or will the equivalent in AUD qualify?

I have a Thai bank account but I left my book over there.

TLDR : Answer Summary
For staying in Thailand, you can enter with either 20,000 Baht in cash or its equivalent in another currency, such as AUD. While having cash is necessary, having a Thai bank account book will not assist you since only cash is accepted for immigration checks.

No need to qualify but immigration may ask you if you have enough fund's to support your stay(20k baht which is under $1kAUD.)

You will be fine.

And it’s cash only so your bank account book would not help you.
