A question about seasoning of money for a visa, in my case a guardian visa for my wife. I have to deposit 500,000 THB for 3 months prior to applying for an extention of the guardian visa.

Here comes the question: Since the currency exchange rate is bad at the moment, can I open a bank account in another currency (EUR) in f.e. Bangkok Bank and just have the equvilent of the needed amount for the 3 months, or does it have to be Thai Baht?

Sorry if this question has been answered already. I tried to search first but didn’t find anything.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the financial requirements for a guardian visa in Thailand, specifically whether the deposit amount necessary for the visa can be held in a foreign currency account instead of Thai Baht, due to unfavorable currency exchange rates.
