Hi Everyone, Im currently applying for my DTV visa and was looking for some help if anyones in a similar case to me.
1. In regards to financial evidence, am I able to provide a invesment account statement?. I use wealthsimple and have monthly statements. I Have they money but its not liquid in my regular bank account as I invest it.
2. In regards to "Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status" I currently run a bunch of youtube channels and thats my job. Is there any other youtubers in here who have filled this out?
Youtube doesnt give contracts as we are essentially freelancers and are paid through Google adsense. However, I do have sponsorship contracts with companies. If anyone can help, I will love you forever.
Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the application process for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) for Thailand, focusing on the financial evidence needed, specifically whether an investment account can be used. It also queries about documentation for freelancers working on platforms like YouTube. Several comments highlight that investment accounts are not accepted as part of the financial evidence, suggesting laments that proof of liquid cash is necessary. Additionally, the need for specific contracts or evidence of freelance work is emphasized, given the unique nature of income generation through YouTube and sponsorships.
The basis of financial evidence is for proof you are financially responsible and have liquid cash for yourself in case shit happens. Hence investment account wont be accepted.
There was someone posted before with his experiences applying for DTV based upon his you tube accounts. Try the search function. Remember he sent letter detailing the accounts and links to the accounts
You need to ask the Embassy you will be applying through not a FB group as all Embassies/Consulated have their own version of requirements and, to be honest, the likelihood of two people having exactly the same qualifying details are very slim.
