Can I use a brokerage account statement as evidence of adequate finance for a Thai tourist visa?

For a Thai tourist visa, thaiembassy.org, under required documents, asks for "Evidence of Adequate Finance." Most everyone refers to a bank statement. Has anyone ever presented a brokerage account statement with sufficient X amount of dollars in stocks? My statement overview shows X in stocks and Y under (a small) cash balance. I can't imagine they look real closely.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai tourist visa application requires evidence of adequate financial means, which is typically satisfied by providing a bank statement. However, there is a question about whether a brokerage account statement showing stocks can be accepted instead, as it demonstrates financial stability even if it includes a smaller cash balance. This reflects concerns among applicants about the specific requirements and if brokerage statements could potentially fulfill the necessary documentation.
