Hi there, when applying for a Non Immigrant O visa from outside of Thailand, on the basis Spouse of a Thai national, where it asks for ‘Financial Evidence’ can I use our joint account at the Krungsri bank in Bangkok?
Or, has the ‘Financial Evidence’ got to be in my own name from a bank in Thailand?
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non Immigrant O visa based on being a spouse of a Thai national, a joint bank account can often be used as financial evidence from abroad. However, if applying for an extension of stay, usually the account must be in the applicant's name alone, and the balance should be sufficient per immigration regulations. Some offices might allow a joint account but ensure the balance meets double the required amount (e.g., 800,000 Baht for marriage extensions). It's also acceptable to provide funds from an individual bank account from your home country at the initial application stage.
for the O-A retirement visa a joint account is not acceptable... the wife HAS TO HAVE HER OWN MONEY. You can not use a joint account, even if there is enough for both of you being deposited...
When applying for the visa, a joint account would usually suffice. If you’re applying for an extension in country then the account would have to be in your name only. Some offices may allow a joint account, but the balance would have to be double what would be required. I.e 800k for a marriage extension.
