If you enter Thailand with the Thailand Pass under the "test-and-go-scheme" after the 22.12.2021, you are obliged to undergo two RT-PCR-tests, one directly after arrival, which is covered by the price you pay for the one-day-quarantine hotel, and a second one on day 5 - 7 after arrival. This second test is said to be free of charge. But this is only true if you use one of the 95 "government-designated facilities", which are listed in a publication of the Ministry of Public Health. But all these hospitals are located in Bangkok and some holiday resorts, but not in the region of Udon Thani, where I am staying. So I had to use the only available facility, the Bangkok Hospital in Udon Thani, at my own expenses. They exploit their exclusivity and charge 6500 Baht for this test. So be aware of these additional costs, if your destination is outside the tourist areas.
