TLDR : Answer Summary
No, there is no automatic visa on entry. If you arrive from one of the 52 countries eligible for visa exempt entry, you will receive a free entry stamp allowing you to stay for 45 days. Additionally, you can extend your stay for 30 more days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht, giving you a total of up to 75 days.

There is no automatic visa on entry ๐Ÿ˜•

If you're showing up here without having bought a visa from a thai consulate before you come here and you're from one of the 52 countries who get in free on what's called a "visa exempt entry" (which is NOT a visa, but just a free entry stamp) you will get in for 45 days.

You get to stay 45 days and if you need more time you can extend that by 30 more days at the immigration office for 1900baht giving you almost 75 days
