TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'under consideration' stamp received during a tourist visa extension in Thailand is a standard procedure indicating that the immigration office is reviewing your application. You will need to return on the date specified on the stamp to receive the remainder of your extension. Some users noted that it's typical for them to start the new count from the issue date rather than adding the 60 days to the existing visa. Additionally, it's advised to ensure all supporting documents, like passport photos and filled-out forms, are ready when applying for a visa extension.

Hey . Can u share with me how u get this ? I need extension as well
it seems that certain offices don’t have the “authority” to issue a covid extension. I believe the signing off officer needs to hold a certain rank. Therefore everything is sent off to their head office for the region so the big boss can approve. I believe that’s the theory. Whether true or not I have no idea.
thanks for that. Do you think it is a sure thing? My flight back is on 4.3. Don't know if I should change it already now. How early can I go back to immigration to ask for that extension?
never heard of a single case where they didn’t get the remainder of the days once they have the under consideration stamp. You can’t go back early. You go back on the day they stamped. In your case March 8th.
just been back to immigration today and got 60 days extention as of today and not when I handed forms is. I suppose it depends which immigration. I am so pleased
