Hi! I applied for the covid 60 day extension last week in Phuket and received an under consideration stamp to return on 30 June (the same day my current 30 day tourist visa extension ends). Two questions:
1. Has anyone been successful in returning to the office BEFORE the under consideration stamp date and closed out the extension? I’d like to go this week or next week as I need to leave Phuket ASAP.
2. What should I expect in terms of number of days I will be granted from 30 June? I applied for covid extension on 27 May, so should I expect the 60 days to start from then, or will the 60 days be applied from 30 June? I know this can vary around the country so grateful for others insights on this, particularly people who applied in Phuket.
Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of visiting the Phuket immigration office prior to the designated ‘under consideration’ date to finalize their COVID-19 visa extension and sought clarification on the start date of the extension. Responses from the community indicated that while it is generally not allowed to visit before this date, individuals can check their application status, and the extension usually begins from the date of approval rather than the application date.
