Hi all. Has anyone on here applied for the covid extension? And how soon can you apply for it? It finishes on 25 of March. But my visa finish 24th April. And does anyone know someone in bkk that can help . I had a 60 day tourist visa. And extended by 30 days. Which finishes 24th of April but must fly 14 because of flights. Also if I do go what do I say?

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat is seeking advice on applying for a COVID visa extension before their current visa, which is a 60-day tourist visa extended by 30 days, expires on April 24th. The deadline for the COVID extension application is March 25th. Community members provide detailed information on necessary documents, including passport copies, completed forms, and a fee. They stress the importance of applying before the deadline and planning for the possibility of having their application denied, which would require an exit from Thailand by the visa expiration date.

in that case (seeing as you already have your 30 day extension) slog on over to your immigration office before the 25th and see if you can apply for the covid extension.

AND when you're there ask them if when you apply the 60 days will start the day you apply or if it will be added to your current stamp expiration date (april 24th).

If they say you can't get it, then you need to make a plan be to exit on or by the 24th of April

You certainly don't need "someone to help" you managed to get the 30 day extension just fine, GO before the 25th of march and apply for the 60 day covid extension. They'll either approve it or deny it SO have a plan b if they deny it and you have to leave when your stamp runs out

the 30 day extension is something you can get without any issue so just put down tourism and while you're there ASK them if you can get the covid extension next week or not BUT get your 30 day one

You’ll need this stuff. Not all offices have the same requirements so it may be slightly different depending on which of the 70+ offices you use.

A copy of your passport data page (signed),

A passport photo,

Proof of filing a TM30,

A copy of your departure card (TM6) (signed)

A copy of your latest entry stamp (signed)

A copy of any previous Covid extension stamps (signed) (Phuket requires this other offices may not)

In Phuket they require the copies to be in portrait not landscape. This means the top of your passport aligns along the shorter side of the A4. Except for the Data Page where most passports are “sideways”

(Other offices may not be as pedantic)

A filled out TM7 (application form for extensions) - the form doesn’t have a space for your email or phone number but just write it on the back (page 2).

A filled out STM2 (acknowledgement of terms of temporary stay)

A filled out “I don’t want to leave because of Covid form” - I have no idea if it has an official name or number.

And 1,900 baht.

The forms are available at your local office. Most have places on site or nearby that can do the copies and photos.

Many offices will give you a “under consideration” stamp requiring you to return somewhere from 5-14 days later where they will stamp for the remaining 60 days. If they do you MUST use the same office to “close out” that stamp. For example you cannot get a “under consideration” stamp from Bangkok and close that out in Chiang Mai 15 days later.

If it’s your first time applying for the extension they’ll date it from the day you apply, so you’d lose any remaining days you have on your current stamp. Subsequent applications would be added on to the existing stamp.
