From what I can tell, this is where I stand right now...

Im on a 45 day visa emempt, I need to go to IT Laksi soon to get a 30 day visa extension. Ive got less than 10 days on my current visa exempt. What paperwork (apart from passport) do I need to bring to get the visa renewed?

How can I check if a TM30 has been lodged for me by my landlord?

At the expiry of the above 30 days what options do I have to extend my stay, Is it a case of doing a border run to get another 30+30 days of stay? Does it matter if this is done by air or land?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 45-day visa exempt and seeks clarification on the paperwork needed for a 30-day extension at IT Laksi, how to verify if a TM30 has been lodged by their landlord, and options for extending their stay after the 30-day extension. One comment clarifies that they can apply for the extension anytime and need to bring the TM30 receipt from their landlord, along with common requirements for the extension. After the extension, a border run is necessary, either by air or land.

You can go to apply for 30 days tourism extension anytime now because 30 days will be added to your current stamp, no need to wait too close to the last day.

Attached is the most common requirements for tourism extension, pretty much in Bangkok.

You need to get the TM30 receipt from your landlord.

Once your 30 days tourism extension is up, you need to do a border bounce or visa run. It doesn't matter if you go by air or by land.

You need to get one of these as a TM30 receipt from your landlord. The top one is the receipt from the report in person. Two in the bottom are screen grabs from online submissions. You need to make a hard copy of those.

@Ellie ******
so print out any of those three and bring it to immigration with me?

@Chris ******
, you bring one of them. But you may need the original for the top one. Just a print out of any of the two others is fine.

this is something the landlord does or I should/could do easily - TM30? I note above TM7 (application form) and TM6, Is TM6 still a thing? I presume I can get an application form TM7 at the immigration office and fill it out there?

Your landlord is the one who is supposed to do it. But you can still do it if you have a contract.

@Ellie ******
can I fill out TM7 at immigration? I don’t remember filling out a TM6 when arriving, is that still a thing?

@Chris ******
, you can get and fill out all the necessary forms at the immigration office. You don't need TM6 (departure card) as long as you entered Thailand by air.
