I have a similar situation being on Koh Lanta with the Krabi immigration office (and have been given similar advice). My plan is to still go to immigration to get a closed stamp before trying to leave the country (Even if it is after the expiry) just for piece of mind at the airport. They shouldn’t have a problem doing this if they consider you under the amnesty anyway.
Hi Tod. Sorry if you have answered a similar question already......
I am currently on an ‘under consideration’ stamp BUT my initial entry stamp didn’t expire until after 26 March anyway. Do you know if that makes any difference to being included with the blanket amnesty? (As the current under consideration stamp is technically not even required)
Could be quite important as on a non-b and plan for staying for many more months here. I do plan on contacting immigration closer to the expiry but just wondered if you could shed any light. Thanks
thanks for the update. Did they explain why they even bothered to give you the 25th stamp if you were good until the 30th?? Just wondering as will be in a similar situation next month if amnesty is extended.
