I think we need to wait and see what the official announcements are. Certainly they understand the boarder issues. I am hoping they will announce some kind of internal options for people still here (get 90day stamp for a valid ME visa without leaving Thailand, purchase a further extension within Thailand, covert to non b if you have a job etc). That seems more likely to me then reopenong boarders with other countries for bounces or other visa runs since that would take 2 governments to agree to in a short timeframe.

Samut Prakan Immigration requirements for extension of stay. Orange highlighted section is for 60 days for visiting family. Whole page is for 1 year extension due to marriage.

I visited tje Samut Prakan office yesterday and I was told the same as Todd wrote by the IO (bank book update same day as you apply, bank letter can be up to 7 days earlier). Will post a picture of their requirement list below (Thai only). The entire list applies for the 1 yeat extension due to marriage, the orange highlighted section is what is needed for a 60 day extension to visit family.

Also we gave tons of paperwork - a stack maybe 3cm high of proof of knowing each other (pics, travel records etc) - seemed to help as all the ICE folks commented on it (and didnt want to read it all) but we never had any questions about if we knew each other. Best of luck.

Made her feel more comfortable as she had limited English abilities at that time.

I used Siam Legal for the K1 for my wife in 2011. I could have done all the paperwork myself but their help was invaluable in preparing her for the interview. She knew what to expect and they practiced with her a lot (i was not in Thailand at the time). It was well worth it for peace of mind going into the interview.

Ok Thanks. Could she come into Thailand on a dependent visa before turning 22 and then stay for a year or would the dependent visa expire as soon as she turns 23?
