I just went with my wife to the amphur with my yellow book and passport and marriage certificate.

That’s where I opened my account. I then got my yellow house book and my pink ID which has enabled me to open accounts in other banks including GSB where I keep the monies required for the marriage visa. Gsb writes a letter to immigration confirming the account and the monies etc. I also get enrolled in their monthly draw and win 4800 baht over the last six months as well as interest.

There is no devastation at the Ranong border , it’s a 4 hour drive from Phuket. There is a speed trap in khura buri the last few days and an army checkpoint just before Ranong and two days ago it was also manned by police and immigration officers.

What you have to understand is each immigration office has different policies and requirements based on numerous factors , the man in charge , if the individual officer got laid that morning and which way the wind is blowing. It sounds ridiculous but it’s actually true.

If you live more than 180 days in Thailand in one year you have to get a TIN and file a return , my income is from inheritance before the 1st January 2024. I have completed the form with an explanation. It’s in English, my local tax office doesn’t speak English, they had no clue of the dual tax arrangements with the uk nor did they have any upto date forms. But by law I need to complete a return which I did.

exactly and the patients are treated with respect in the Buddhist tradition, the food is freshly cooked on the premises and the cleanliness is exemplary. And at 15-20% the cost of the Uk.
