If you have a tourist visa, there should be no problem extending. Scrutinisation was increased for people entering on the visa waiver stamp.

I think that depends on the embassy to which you are applying. Best to ask them directly? I applied to Oslo who told me that the money could NOT be tied up in stocks or shares. They didn't say specifically that it had to be all in one account though.

The worst that can happen is you'll be fined 500thb for overstaying 1 day.

I recently contacted the embassy in my country for specific advice on what was needed from the doctor. They said 'For the medical purpose, you must have an appointment confirmation letter from the hospital and information about the appointment and the procedure you will go through."

If you travel there every year, how do you normally enter? A quick search using the correct terminology will answer your question multiple times

I use my Norwegian debit card to withdraw local currency. ATM's in Thailand have a fee but you can take your card and passport into some banks and withdraw for free (usually a minimum amount)
