So what? Your choice if you chose to stay home for the next decade. Up to you if you don't mind losing many years of your life. But don't expect everybody to be willing to do so. Especially if you are old. You might be dead before the pandemic is over

Australia New Zealans are considered western country.

Not sure about surrounding islands like Fidji etc.
