I used to not be able to vote in federal elections, either. I still cannot serve on a jury. I can vote again. they changed the law to allow states to decide if their citizens can vote in federal elections. so now I can, but could not for years.

nope, federal charges are on your record for life. i have already looked into it. state charges can be expunged.

yeah, I know. when I was younger, I owned a trucking company and went to canada a lot. only needed a driver's license back then. none of this passport stuff at all.

Well, I did pay my penalty, with not a demerit against me. And been out of anything like that since 1995. I just have the gift that keeps on giving, a federal record and Interpol.
