You could live In Nonthaburi in a nice condo near the MRT and the river for 10,000 a month. Can make it into Bangkok in an hour. Our condo was 46 meters and nice fitness and pool. If you’re retired why live in the middle of Bangkok?

Now I live in Pak Thong Chai. We built a beautiful house and have a 15,000 baht a month mortgage. Also I own a car and that needs maintenance and gas. We live on about $2000 usd a month. And it’s so much nicer than living in pollution and congestion.

My girlfriend has an online business so she pays her way for her personal expenses and almost grown college kids.

I’m still able to get 1 million limit a day with Krungsri bank. I’ve had the account for six years.

When building our house I paid for everything with a credit card and transferred from Wise to my wife’s account for the labor costs. She paid them cash as we went.

you’re wrong! I applied for a non OA visa in Los Angeles California and came here on that one. It’s good for two years. Then I had no problems opening a bank account. If they check directly with the requirements at the embassy, then they’ll know exactly what they need to do. There are four or five hoops to jump through but it’s not difficult.

as you approach immigration control on the right there’s a couple of young women. You sort of have to walk up to them. They’re not psychic. I don’t look a day over 60! lol 😂

it’s over 65. I’ve been using g that line for a few years now and I just turned 70 last week. Or maybe they were giving me a break!! Always good to limp as one approach’s the special line!!! Haha 😆

For me five minutes! I’m over 65 and have a re-entry permit. There’s a special line for senior citizens. If you’re over sixty they pull you aside and let you go to a different window that expedites the process. So anywhere between five minutes and two hours depending on amount of arrivals and your personal situation.

I live in North eastern Thailand, in the middle of nowhere, and they have fiber optic internet. I had run regular cable through my house, when we built it, and when True showed up they said here’s the fiber optic for your modems.

Thailand has better internet than the USA.
