If you spend more than just hours reading here, and instead read every day, often every day…you will find if you just pay an agent, you will have a Thai bank account, even on an exempt stamp or any other stamp. Just pay the agent, probably about 3 to 7k THB.

Back during quarantine days, in Chiang Mai, we had a small carry on luggage that broke.

We passed several street vendors selling luggage.

I asked one lady for her price on the one we wanted.

It was more than I wanted to pay.

It was late and most sidewalk shops were closing or getting ready to.

We kept walking. About 45 minutes later we were walking back to our hotel, she saw us and offered the piece almost 1,000 THB less than originally. I agreed.

As she was getting it ready for us and I had paid already, we noticed she was crying. In Thai we asked why was crying… it was the first and only thing she had sold in two days. I gave her an extra 1,500 THB. Her crying increased, but wasn’t sadness…it was happiness and enormous gratitude.

My Thai car and motorbike licenses have my passport number on them. I carry a paper copy of the PP, visa page and entry stamp...plus the phone with all the pics of every stamp. That PP stays in a safe place at home. I can't imagine carrying a PP in your clothing everywhere you go. When I was only a tourist here, it stayed in the hotel safe after check in.

For future reference, always, always take pics of your stamps and any entries.

Not enough time to detail my journey with water heater problems in our pool villa. In the last 10 months, it was replaced. New one has quit many times afterwards, and repaired each time.

Total time without hot water is almost 2 months.
