25km west of Chiang Rai ..........yesterday.... during the burning season... I could not see the mountains...

before obtaining the "Yellow book" Kasikorn said no... after..... yes.. opened account about two weeks ago.. this would be on a 60 day tourist stamp... married to Thai woman ...

my extension at the Mae Sai immigration added to the end of the 60 day stamp.......total 90 days...

recent opening of account with Kasikorn Bank... only fee was 300B for one year usage of the debit card/atm........ next year the amount reduces..

I have transferred the same amount to the same person at least 9 times in the last year... this time.... western union has taken 6 days and still not transferred ... took the money from my US bank no problem the first day... I have switched to Wise and the first transfer to my new Kasikorn account was 7 seconds...

I was finally able to open up my bank account at Kasikorn bank yesterday... took over an hour... the Lady employee was excellent.. just a lot of papers to copy and sign plus the photos taken with tablet... getting the yellow book is another storey... 8K baht to the local district people from the head of the district to the manager in the office to the lady doing the computer input.. plus the hour long "interview" from the head of the district... I hope I am finished with the "extra" money being spent on anything..
