Thanks for the info. Did a border run from Chiang Mai last year and have friends up there so not an issue. Also in Isaan and extending takes about 10 minutes unlike Bangkok if I read thr posts right.

 how do you get 6 months supply? They will only give me two months at time for heart meds.

 I have never been stopped by customs in 40 years. But there again never with golf clubs. I seem to perceive it's Thais they stop.
