I think it’s a good idea for you to visit first on your tourist visa. If you like Bangkok, come back on the DTV. Unless you’re very sure you want to live in Bangkok, travel to one or two other places while you’re here on the tourist visa.

I don’t believe that is true. The TM30s are in the Immigration computer and available at all Immigration offices.

I am pretty sure you’ll be OK bringing a 60+ day supply now that they’ve extended the visa-exempt period. Have a great trip.

You can go to any Immigration office and get a 30-day extension.

Bringing Drugs Into Thailand

If you have a tourist visa, you can stay for 60 days or extend it for another 30 days. If you just arrive with your passport, you will receive a visa-exempt stamp that will allow you to stay for 60 days or extend the stamp for another 30 days.
