@Osian *******
actually I don’t really care what happens to the UK, I was merely being polite to those that replied to me.

As for Thailand, the restrictions are one thing. But Thai politicians have been quite open about their Xenophobia in the past, with some well publicised rants. Plus the country is a hotbed for human trafficking. That’s what I was referring to when I mentioned xenophobic policy makers.

oh now it makes sense, thanks.

I would agree with that! Reform do look worrying. It’s quite sad what’s happening to old Blighty but I don’t really see any party improving life for the general population.

It’s all just a bit sad.

I think it’s unfair to call it a Xenophobic country. But they do have xenophobic policy makers in government.

in Thailand, once on Sukhumvit and the other on Rachatewi, the kind policeman has allowed me to pay directly and avoid all that pesky paperwork.

Can see how that’s an issue though, good point.

in 15 years I’ve only had a few. Usually Thais given paperwork and sent to the police station. Foreigners asked if they want a receipt, nope, drop the cash and on your way.
