As for purpose of visit, when questioned by the e-visa application, I'll be an expat (digital nomad), but as a non-resident obtaining my funds from outside of Thailand, I am exempt from local taxes (from my knowledge).

Do I still apply for a METV (tourism?) VISA, or should I be looking into non-immigrant visas as mentioned here?
