Thanks. I was also thinking, they may proceed his visa as always, since his 20th birthday is in October, but visa renewal in August. Depends on a good will of the immigration officer 😉

I didn't mention, that my son is a disabled person (non-verbal with ASD), I'm his only legal guardian - have a Court Ruling, saying he's " totally incapacitated due to profound intellectual disability". (Courl ruling from Poland, translated to English)

In this case, will he get the visa?

Yeap it sounds fair, but I thought I can save money, time and my nerves - Jomtien Immigration, actually ladies in room 7 - visa change - are so impolite and unhelpful, so I'd prefer to avoid them. 2 years ago I was in similar situation, just got my Non-B from Vientiane, then got my work permit, next my family went to Vientiane and got Non O (without my year extension but with work permit). In the end after I got my extension, they got it too. But as we all know the rules are still changing, sometimes it depends on the place or just the officer who is considering your case. I understand I'm a guest here and I can follow all the rules and laws if only they are clear and known! What is killing me is that everything changes here like in kaleidoscope! You can never be sure! There is no one answer for the same question in different places.

Thanks for the advice.

Jomtien Immigration said Yes, they can apply here, but it's long and difficult process. Actually they recommend to go abroad. Thay said also- they can apply after I'll get my yearly extension. This is our situation: All the 3 of us have SETV 60 days +30 days of extension valid untill 21 July(Sunday). I submitted docs. At the Immigration and got a yellow card, they said come back on 19th July maybe you'll get your Non-B or maybye Not! Maybe you'll get it on Monday 22nd or Thursday! I asked how about our visas? I heard--you can buy another 7 days here(which means 5700baht for 3 of us! ). Anyway, I hope to get my Non-B on 19th and at least on 21st my family have to leave the country. They could do 2nd border run in this year, but it's not enough time to get Non O in the country, so they are going to Savanakhet anyway eather to apply for SETV or Non-O. My conclusion is this--since they have to go abroad for a visa, may they apply fo Non O now? Or they can get only another SETV, wait until I'll get my extension and then eather go abroad or try to apply here for Non O? Thanks for any advice!

I was looking for some info about Non-B and Non O, and found this post. I don't understand, did something changed? 2 years ago I got my Non-B visa from Vientiane and after getting my work permit I could go to Vientiane again to apply for Non O for my family. How it's possible to apply for Non-B and Non O at the same time?
