Can an expat in Thailand get a Thai credit card or should they use a home country card?

I always travel with a 2nd Visa debit card which can activated at any time should I need it. Yes I have had an ATM take a Visa card 5 hours out of Bangkok. It takes the stress off you, it takes 2 minutes to activate the new card.

good question, I can’t really answer that. It might be their politeness, they don’t ask you for anything but you offer the buy a meal or go to a theatre, they say, up to you 🤷‍♂️

Not at all. People read a 1 or 3 year old post & then, I heard a rumour 🤣😂. Most of us just ignore or validate it without a response. Love the Thailand rumour mill 🤣😂🇹🇭🇦🇺
