 air travel only according to most airlines. They will ask for proof of onward air travel. Its been reported in other posts by the moderators that other forms maybe rejected

 No US Passport holders get a 60-day Visa Exempt entry. Make sure you have a flight out of Thailand within 60-days

 agree. Our immigration all think Asians will stay. In Australia Indians seem to get an easy run. Maybe its their Commonwealth country that makes it easy

 married mate for 8 years and an Aussie so K1 Visa doesn't apply. USA, UK & AUSTRALIA all make it incredibly difficult for Thais to ener even on a holiday. Yep its easier but still a hard slog. My wife has been to Aussie 6 or 7 times now and longest stay was 9 months.

Can I extend my tourist e-Visa for another 60 days in Thailand?

 you can apply for an extension of your evisa at a cost of ฿1,900. Then you leave Thailand and re-enter on an VISA EXEMPT for 60-days. This will be at the discretion of the IO.
