comparing jaywalking to messing with bank rules in a foreign country is wild. but sure, keep telling yourself it’s “manageable.” good luck with that.

there’s no point explaining laws to someone who proudly doesn’t care and just hunts for loopholes. you’re in another country and don’t respect the rules here anyway. this is like talking to a door. hope the account gets flagged someday and reality catches up.

who cares” isn’t a legal argument, it’s just vibes. the bank doesn’t care if you’re buying pad krapao or a condo, they care whose name is on the account and who’s actually using it. if it’s in her name, it’s her account. “permission,” “POA,” or “she’s my GF” doesn’t magically change that.

and no, a “shared account” isn’t “she opens it and you use it.” a real joint account has both names verified by the bank. what you’re describing is exactly what KYC is designed to flag and freeze.

you can call it “no big deal,” but banks don’t. they don’t care what you buy, they care whose name is on the account and who’s actually using it.

that’s not how it works. an account opened in someone else’s name is still their account, not yours. “permission” or “power of attorney” doesn’t magically turn it into your account or make it okay with the bank. when they see the mismatch, they freeze it. simple. but sure, keep calling it a “pro tip.”

so your “secret” is to have someone open a bank account in their name for you? that’s not a pro tip, that’s illegal. congrats, you’ve just set up a perfect way to get the account frozen, lose your money, and get both people in trouble. genius plan 👏

That’s very fast. Usually it takes about 5 working days on each process. Next after “Pending approval” is usually your visa result. I think.

RubyChestnut08 Thank you. I came to Vientiane, got 30 days visa so if that application is rejected, I’ll reapply. I wouldn’t dare overstaying just a day in Vietnam 🤣
