HIGHLY recommended for Implants is the “Dental World” clinic in Chaing Mai. I started having my dental work done there back in 2012 and just 2 days ago (1st April 2024) I had a 3 tooth / 2 Post Bridge assembly completed in my top front jaw.

Prior to this I have had 5 individual teeth replaced by 5 individual Implant teeth + 5 Crown “artificial” teeth (made out of Zirconium).

To save on travel costs to Chiang Mai firstly get your rotten teeth extracted “anywhere” and then wait 2 months (for your gum to heal) before you attend DW. If healing is ok then an Implant Post can be fitted. This then requires a minimum time period of 6 months for this Implant Post to become “firmly fixed” in your gum (via your natural healing process) before the 2nd final step of having your single Crown or (as I have just had done) a Bridge assembly fitted. This 2nd step required me to stay here in CM for about 10 days (but you probably could ask for 7 days?) to allow the Dentist to first get a Silicon Impression of your existing teeth to be done and this is then sent to a Dental Lab here in CM where they will make a single Crown (or a Bridge assembly) to enable a “perfect fit” to be accomplished. Then you will need to wait another

days to allow the Dentist to “check that everything is ok and to your satisfaction”.

This 2nd step for my 3 tooth / supported by 2 Implant Posts cost exactly 72,000 baht. Prior to coming to Thailand back in the UK my Dentist there quoted me £3,200 for this Bridge (144,000 baht).

The 1st step (done back on my last visit to CM in December 2022) consisted of removing 2 adjacent teeth (next to where I had 1 tooth previously extracted). Then 2 Posts were implanted. The 2nd Post was fitted where a tooth had JUST PREVIOUSLY been extracted and Dr Surasak then used my own blood to “make up” my own “tailor made gum healing “compound. This was done on my “trusted Dentists (Dr Surasak) recommendation” because “they were slightly loose” and would probably fail relatively quickly.

This Dental Surgeon is the owner of this FANTASTIC Dental facility here in CM (located on the SE corner of The Moat roadway). This first step cost me about £1,000 (about 45,000 baht) for 2 Posts to be Implanted.

So, for Steps 1 + 2 above, the total cost at DW = about 117,000 baht (£2,600).

In the UK you can say that “roughly” EACH Implanted Tooth (including Steps 1 + 2) will cost you about £2,000 (90,000 baht) PER TOOTH.

At DW EACH Implanted tooth will cost LESS THAN 50% for the same work BUT I KNOW in the UK my Dentist simply cannot match the SUPERB facilities at DW or their FANTASTIC staff.

Highly Recommended for Step 1 then ask for Dr Surasak (the Owner of this large Clinic to do this for you). He is a remarkable Dentist.

Dr Lapon done the Bridge assembly work for me as he is now DW’s specialist for this Step 2 work.

A special accolade here for DW’s superb lady Dental Assistants AND their many (about 12) Receptionists. They are all FANTASTIC.

DW has over 20 dentists who share the use of the 15 Dental Rooms at this superb Clinic Building, ie. It is ultra modern.
