Its still worth trying different branches for the same bank. You say you have a retirement visa , I dont understand why you dont already have a Thai bank account

 Yes your right there is also State. Thais do have a choice which they use.

 Repatriated Thais come through ASQ. There are normally around 10 cases per day. I have never seen 41 cases in a day recorded.
