At Chaengwattana as I was canceling my old extension of stay for my new one.

It was the second question. The immigration officer I think could not fathom why I would not want to get a new re-entry permit as I would normally.

I have flown domestically in the last month and did have to show my passport repeatedly but not at immigration as I would when I'm flying internationally. I asked the immigration officer if I even needed to apply for a new multiple reentry if I didn't anticipate leaving the country. I think she did not understand the question because she just kept repeating, yes, you can apply for multiple entry at the airport.

You wrote "and" after the word "before" so I thought you meant to right "after". And I can do that in Thailand, yes?
Nim *****
Okay, so if the last date is Jan 6 2020, I have until Feb 5th or so to apply for a new Extension of Stay from within Thailand?

@Robert ******
Just double checking that I do NOT have to leave the country to get my one year extension of stay when I renew this year. My renewal date is Jan 6, 2020. Unfortunately, the date is right around the holidays, so I need to consider this as I do my travel plans.

Yes, I am following my child. I know the requirement changes a little after the first year (the amount of baht or time).

I probably have the terminology wrong. When I applied last year for the Non-ed, I had to show 500K in my Thai bank account for 30 days before and on the day of the application.

@Tod ********
And do I need to bring anything other than passports, arrival cards, completed tm.47? Copies of things?
Nim *****
So basically it's the same insane queue. Better to go early.
