There is only so much people can take and this making people jump through hoops to be with their families is just absurd and exposes the Thai mentality fof all to see, no wonder people are voting with their feet Thailand is well and throughly finished , the moratorium on household debt has been extended till Dec, the s**t is going to hit the fan,get your cash our there might be a run on the banks!
Don't bother Thailand is finished, if you thought Thai bureaucracy was a pain in the A**e you ain't seen nothing yet army knows only siege mentality, cut your losses and run.
A large proportion of the Thai population DO NOT come into contact with foreigners, apart from the tourist areas, these peopke make up the general population . Do you know anything about Thailand, I bern here for 30 years and run businesses and been a part of Thai life
Unfortunately the general population has been brain washed into thinking that Covid will overwhelm and kill loads of Thais if foreigners are allowed in. It is going to take a monumental effort to re-educate the Thais about a balanced of risks approach which I think not many government officials can or are willing to grasp.
Not a good time to start a venture, make sure not tourist dependent. Thai household debt is 80% if GDP not a good sign, would wait a bit and see, if there are mega loan defaults then even the banks will be struggling, which means peoples disposable income is going to be in short supply and expenditure will be limited largely to essential like food, housing and clothing.
Neil DumaNot blah blah the US is not perfect but China is an autocratic one party Communist state, they may havd embraced capitalism as a means to drag their peopke out of poverty. You cannot step out of line or challenge the state .
