Loong William The smiley on Brandon Thurkettle’s comment shows you don’t even know the difference between visa on arrival and visa exempt…

Your question “What to do if you decide to travel the day before?” is easily answered: You fill out the online form, which can be done in the cab while driving to the airport. Don’t try to fill the form when you are driving! 😉

/edit: seems I have to retract the second half. You have to fill out the form “at least” three days before arrive. The OP seems to be wrong.

/edit2: My comment was correct. You can only register max 4 days before departure, not earlier, but you can also register on departure / arrival date.

The quickest and easiest way: Have a new shipment sent again, not by Oops.

I had a €300 incoming package for which Oops wanted to charge €400 import and handling.

I told them to store it where the sun doesn’t shine and bought the same stuff again. Now sent through PostNL/EMS.

Imported without hassle and final cost€75.

Oops requiredme to register as importer, in person and in Khon Kaen. 4 hours drive from here.

PostNL/EMS required nothing. No hassle.

Forget Oops. The worst shipping company that I know of.

Well… You went looking for the limits. Seems you’ve found them. 😉

Get a proper visa for your residence.

My comment related to how the CEO (!) of Wrlife answers to his clients.

First of all he is rude to each and every complaint and secondly… Erhm… Which CEO fulfills the task of the support desk? Apparently the man has nothing better to do.

I am aware that people with negative experiences write more often, so negative reviews don’t tell me much. However, the response of the company tells me so much more.

Apart from that, it is remarkable that many of the positive comments have been written by people bearing the same names as Wrlife’s employees, except the positive comments which were written in a sudden spike of comments.

I am not saying they were paid comments, but the spike made me wonder.

When you are happy with Wrlife then that is great. For me, the list on Trustpilot, especially the comments by the company, is a huge red flag. To each his own.

Read about Wrlife on Trustpilot and see how they, most notably their CEO, consistently answers that all people with negative reviews are liars. That tells me something about their respect for their clients.

Let’s just say I wouldn’t bring an insurance policy to wrlife…

Just consider that insurance companies make big profits and then consider whether getting insurance is a good idea.

“You might get…” and “I know someone…” are not very good reasons to choose.

Insurance agents will happily tell you about three or five dramas. Maybe even ten. But they will never give actual percentages and tell how many people don’t need to claim a penny.

You’re totally right. Failing to plan is planning to fail. You’re doing the right thing by considering all options.
