How does double taxation work for expats in Thailand with DTV approval?

This is an issue I am having with my employer here in the US right now. I work 💯 remote in our finance department. When I sent in my request for approval to work in Thailand, the HR department said my approval has to go through 3 departments. 1. The finance CEO, 2. IT and 3. HR. Both The CEO and IT has given me the green light but it's stuck in HR. My HR is saying there could be a taxation issue. Does anyone know if my company has to pay the Thai government taxes on me?
